Lap Happy Milk... give your
cats some milk they can drink!!
Here's a great colostrum milk supplement
for growing kittens. It makes them 'lap happy'.
Kittens will begin to imitate their
mother's eating and drinking habits at around 3-4 weeks of age. This is a
signal that the weaning stage is about to begin. Initially wean kittens with
a blended mix (yes, use a blender) of lap happy KMR Milk Replacer and a high
quality kitten
food. Slowly, over a 2-3 week period reduce the blending and the
amount of milk supplement until the kittens are eating the food as it comes
right out of the can. During the same time, the mother should be encouraging
the kittens by gradually denying them suckling privileges. She will be happy
for you to help her with the weaning process.
Best for orphaned kittens new-born to
six weeks of age.
This lap happy milk contains colostrum which gives
extra nutrition & immunity to some diseases in infant kittens.
KMR Saved Lucky's Life!, October 24,
2006
by MelodiMusicNYC from Hawthorne, New Jersey
"In August 2006, I found a 4 week old kitten outside my
home crying desperately for food. He weighed less than a pound, and his
bones were showing. We brought him to a vet who kept him for a week and
advised that he was not going to make it, as his condition was beyond poor.
Someone recommended KMR, so I requested the vet to return him to my home,
where I knew with a little tender love & care, and the right nutrition, he
would have another chance. Well, Lucky is now 12 weeks old and has went from
a tiny helpless kitten who had to be picked up and placed in front of his
food dish because he was too weak to stand up to a crazy kitten who runs
through the house, jumps on the other cats, eats all their food, and is
extremely playful with all his toys, tunnels, scratching posts/pads, etc.
The vet advised his back legs may never work properly due to his
malnutrition (which were weak to the point he could only walk so far then
they would give out), and about a week ago, he learned how to jump on the
couch! He was so proud of himself, he kept jumping on then off to show
everyone he could do it. It brings tears to my eyes every time I think about
the condition he was in when I found him, how I was afraid to pick him up
because he was so frail, how I did not sleep for the whole week the vet had
him. I truly believe that the KMR along with my patience & love, that his
life was saved. He has made himself right at home, and we decided not to
adopt him out to anyone - he's a keeper. Thank you to the makers of KMR! I
would highly recommend it! Kittens love the taste & it's easy to make (I
used the powder) & full of nutrition.
I also do wildlife rehabbing, and KMR will now be my choice of nutrition for
many baby animals (raccoons, foxes, squirrels, skunks, etc.) in place of
what we formerly used
