Cats and dogs have always had a little friendly competition.

In this movie, the competition gets a little out of hand, but in a funny way.

This action comedy from Lawrence Guterman, the co-director of Antz (1998), follows on the heels of the Babe and Dr. Dolittle films. Although humans have suspected that there has always been a little sparring between the people's favorite pets, the view from the pet's perspective is quite serious... at least the way we as people might imagine it.

This comical anthropomorphic study of animal behavior pits good vs evil, but, I don't think that cats are really bad and dogs are certainly not that innocent! The movie is meant to be enjoyed, not philosophized about. Simply put, some basic personality traits that people see in cats and dogs are extrapolated into a story line for the sake of a good laugh.
